Barak Obama promised during his campaign that, if elected, he would hit the ground running. The only question is, "What direction is he running?" One columnist said, "He is not only our first black president. He is also our first president who doesn't like the free country he was elected to lead and feels his job is to change it." He not only wants to change the freedom of the country but the values the nation was founded on as well. We can already see that he has set out to change the United States of America in a way that is against all that the United States of America has stood for since this nation was founded. He, along with a Congress that seems to have completely lost all morality and hope for common sense, has set out to change everything. This country has always considered itself to be a Christian nation and Barak Obama has even decided that that needs to be changed.

God has said he would bless those who blessed Israel. "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." --- Genesis 12:1-3 In his first 100 days since becoming president, he has been steadily leaning toward a stronger and closer relationship with the Islamic nations and distancing himself and the nation from the relationship we have held with Israel since it became a nation over 60 years ago. This change is not just a political change, it is a change in the very morals and values that the United States has held since being founded.

Is this the kind of change that will help this country, or will this kind of change destroy it? What will happen if we turn our back on Israel? God has already stated in His Word what "WILL"happen if we turn our back on Israel, the apple of his eye. "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me." --- Zec 2:8-9

Let us turn now unto God and pray for our nation and the nation of Israel. You can choose your own prayer, or you can pray like this:

ALMIGHTY GOD,
WE, YOUR PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY YOUR NAME, COME HUMBLING OURSELVES BEFORE YOU THIS DAY, SEEKING YOUR FACE. WE CONFESS OUR SINFUL CONDITION BEFORE YOU, O GOD, AND WE TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS. O GOD, WE ASK YOU TO FORGIVE OUR SINS, AND HEAL OUR LAND. WE PRAY FOR OUR NATION AND OUR LEADERS THAT YOU, O GOD, WILL OPEN OUR BLIND EYES THAT WE MIGHT SEE AND OUR DEAF EARS THAT WE MIGHT HEAR! WE PRAY THAT YOU, O GOD, WOULD TOUCH THE HEARTS OF OUR PRESIDENT, OUR CONGRESS, AND THOSE WHO HAVE AUTHORITY OVER US, THAT THEY WILL TURN TO YOU AND SEEK YOUR GUIDANCE AS THEY LEAD THIS NATION. WE PRAY FOR YOUR PEOPLE, ISRAEL, O GOD, THE APPLE OF YOUR EYE. MAY YOUR BLESSINGS AND PROTECTION BE UPON THEM THAT THEY MAY HAVE PEACE AND MIGHT KNOW THAT YOU, O LORD, ARE THE PRINCE OF PEACE. MAY THIS BE DONE IN A WAY THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE HONOR AND BE GLORIFIED AND YOUR PERFECT WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED. HEAR US THIS DAY AND HAVE MERCY ON US, O GOD. DRAW NIGH UNTO US AS WE DRAW NIGH UNTO YOU.
