:: Explanatory Note: The mission, message, and purpose of the Seventy Lambs Team. ::

  1. The Mission
  2. The Message
  3. The Purpose
  4. The Hope

After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Luke 10:1

The Mission:

When Jesus sent the seventy, they were sent with a specific mission and message just as John the Baptist and Jonah had specific missions and messages. John's mission was the forerunner of our Lord, the voice crying in the wilderness, and his message was the announcement of the near approach of the Messianic age, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15) Jonah's mission was to the Ninevites and his message was, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown." (Jonah 3:4) Their mission had an urgency to be carried out and their message to be heeded because there was a time limit involved. Seventy Lambs has the same message as Jonah, John the Baptist and the seventy in Luke 10 and there is a time limit involved, Jesus is coming soon.

The mission of Seventy Lambs is the great commission that is given to all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and to proclaim the soon coming of our Lord. We are here to help and encourage those who are in the family of God to prepare for the perilous times prior to the coming of our Lord. We call on the people of God to remember, especially in these last days, what the Bible says in Hebrews 10:22-25.

The Purpose:

The purpose of Seventy Lambs is to bring the lost into the kingdom of God. Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost (Mt 18:11;Lk 19:10). We are here, not only to labor in God's vineyard, but seeking laborers for the harvest. The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest. (Lk 10:2)

We are here to help the church to be prepared for the great opportunities for reaching the lost and to be able to face the unpredictable situations that lie ahead with confidence. How can I be confident when uncertainty seems to prevail in every aspect of life? In an unpredictable and changing world we can have confidence for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (Heb 13:8) You can be confident because our unchanging God is in control.
